Fundamental research
The Fundamental Research Project on Generative AI will analyze its impact from ethical, legal, and social perspectives. Between 2023 and 2025, topics such as digital rights, privacy, intellectual property, misinformation, and the effects on vulnerable people will be studied. In 2026, the results will be evaluated to propose measures to promote ethical use. It is part of the ENIA Chairs initiative.
The Generative AI Fundamental Research (GAI) project will explore, over the next few years, how generative AI impacts our lives from three key perspectives: ethical and social, legal, and societal. In its first phase (2023-2025), it will study topics such as the effect of AI on digital rights, privacy, and intellectual property , as well as its impact on the metaverse and on the lives of vulnerable people such as minors and the elderly. It will also analyze the risks of misinformation and manipulation that can arise with AI.
In a second phase (2026), the progress and conclusions of these studies will be evaluated, observing how the impact of AI on society and the labor market has evolved, and proposing measures to prevent potential risks and improve its ethical use. This project is part of the ENIA Chairs initiative, which promotes collaboration between universities and companies to address the challenges of AI.
